Community Service

                                                                                                                                                                   

Community Service can be completed with any non-profit organization.  Listings of non-profit organizations can be found in the Palm Beach Post newspaper.  Here are just a few contacts:

  • Friends of Jupiter Beach - Beach Clean-Up
    Contact Joan Ross at 561-748-8140.  Occurs the first Saturday of every month, from 8:00am to 10:00am.
  • Safe Harbor Animal Sanctuary & HospitalCommunity Service logo 2
    Call ahead (561-747-1598) to make arrangements for community service.  Only individuals age 16 and older will be permitted to work with the animals.  Other opportunities may be available for those under age 16.
  • Busch Wildlife Sanctuary
    Contact Volunteer Coordinators Tina Marmish or Robert Smith at 561-575-3399 to make arrangements.
  • Solid Waste Authority
    Contact Joanna Aiken at 561-697-2700 ext. 4701to make arrangements. 
  • Jupiter Inlet District
    Contact Mike Grella at 561-746-2223 to make arrangements. 
  • Habitat for Humanity of Palm Beach County, Inc.
    Call ahead to make arrangements for community service.
  • Volunteer Opportunities for Teens
    Provides listings of community service opportunities in Palm Beach County.
  • Town of Jupiter Skate Park
    Contact Phil at 561-630-5684 to make arrangements.
  • Adopt A Cat Foundation
    Contact Inga Hanley at 561-848-4911 to make arrangements.

    Participants in the Juvenile First Offender (JFO) Program may complete their community service with any of the above organizations or any other non-profit organization.  They may also make arrangements with Officer Carla Irons to receive credit for community service hours by donating items to a charity (i.e. Goodwill) or participating in a hurricane relief effort.  As an alternate option, JFO participants may continue to go to youth court once they have completed their youth court jury duty obligations.  Contact Officer Irons at 561-746-6201 for more information.
