CATEGORY 2 - JUPITER CIVIC This category includes groups that provide a service to the Town of Jupiter and are governed by a board and by-laws. A State of Florida Tax Exemption Certificate will also be required when submitting the request application otherwise tax will be charged. Personal and social occasions will not be recognized by the Town of Jupiter under the Civic status. Personal and social events are defined as weddings, birthday celebrations, anniversary parties, retirement parties, etc. In addition to rental fees, ADDITIONAL CHARGES may apply. form should be used by homeowner associations or property management
companies who would like to request meeting space at either the
Community Center or Old Town Hall. This is your first step towards
reservation meeting space. Calling ahead to inquire about open dates will only delay confirmation. To avoid any confusion, open dates will not be discussed without a request application. See GUIDELINES FOR COMPLETING A RESERVATION REQUEST APPLICATION. | MEETING INFORMATION - Facility rental payments must be mailed directly to the Community Center. Failure to do so will delay credit to accounts.
- When making rental payments DO NOT include other payments with the rental check, (i.e. water bill, building permits, etc.)
- Recurring meetings will need to pay in advance for all dates reserved.
- Yearly meetings are NOT considered to be recurring.
- Recurring meetings do not automatically renew from year to year and groups are not automatically guaranteed the same day and time.
- To renew a recurring reservation you will need to resubmit a request application at least two months of your last confirmed reservation found on your receipt.
- Security deposits will be returned and made payable to the household that made the reservation unless otherwise requested.
- If a rental balance is due on an account the security deposit will be applied to the rental fee and the balance of the security deposit refunded.
- Request applications need to be submitted at least three (3) weeks in advance.
- Due to an increase in rental application requests, an immediate rental confirmation will not be possible.
- All reservation request applications are processed in the order they are received.
- If faxing an application please do not send a duplicate request application through the mail.
| SET UP Below is a standard HOA set up that is included in the rental fee. An extra table maybe added at no charge, for check in OR if another head table is needed to accommodate more board members at the front of the room. For groups exceeding 100 in attendance and/or additional set up needs are required a set up fee of $100 will be added to the rental fee. See ADDITIONAL FEES for more information regarding possible additional charges.
