Riverbend Park Tour & Picnic

The Jupiter Lighthouse Chapter DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution) invites you to join them on an interesting and historical tour of Riverbend Park Battleground which is hosted by author, historian and avocational archaeologist Richard Procyk.
This is an open meeting and anyone may join in. All proceeds and donations will be placed towards the purchase and placement of two DAR Historical Markers; one at historical Riverbend Park commemorating a Battle where warriors of the Seminole nation and the United States lost their lives; and one historical marker at the location of Old Fort Jupiter which was located at Pennock Point.
Cost - The cost of $10.00 per person includes the tour, a picnic lunch and drinks.
You may mail a check to Lynn Drake to reserve your spot; or RSVP and pay when you attend. RSVP is neccessary so the appropriate amount of food will be on hand.
If you need to cancel, please call Lynn Drake no later than the 16th of February. Food will be purchased on the 17th of February.
Directions - Riverbend Park is on Indiantown Road just west of I-95 and the Florida Turnpike, on the left (west) side of the bridge. There is a big brown sign "Riverbend Park" and turn lane to enter the main area. Go Past the main road, enter the park at the 2nd driveway, which is the west entrance just before you get to the Sunoco Gas station.
A DAR sign will be there to help guide you to the event. Follow the road to the picnic tables. Dress confortably and wear shoes you can walk through the woods with.
