JUPITER LIGHTHOUSE - The lighthouse, approximately 15 miles north of West Palm Beach, occupies the site of Fort Jupiter. Built in 1838, construction of the light began in 1855. South of this point was the northern terminus of the route taken by the famous Barefoot Mailman.
