Total Budget for all Town of Jupiter Funds
Jupiter's total proposed operating budget for Fiscal Year 2011 is $78.47 million, including capital improvements in the Community Investment Program (CIP). All areas of the budget for 2011 remain relatively flat to 2010 except for the CIP.
The CIP includes the total budgeted dollars for large capital improvements in that year, and is funded by several sources, including ad valorem (property) taxes, impact fees, and other fees. In 2011, 73% of the proposed $5.6 million CIP is funded by sources other than property taxes.
Debt funds include debt used to fund various capital improvements, construction of the Community Center, and purchase of Open Space lands.
